The “J.D.’s of Wyoming” A-3271A, 4bdr/2bath

The JD/s came to us as a referral from one of our customers in their area of Wyoming. They owned their own property and were looking for a home to put on it. They initially started with the idea that the A-2860 (1600 Sq.Ft.) was going to be just right but as they got into what they really wanted in their new home it became apparent that the A3271 (2200 Sq.Ft.) was going to be a lot better fit for their needs.

The whole process took less than 90 days. Financing was easy, the order process went quickly, the backlog in the factory was not to long, and delivery and installation went without a hitch – except for the 2 weeks we lost due to bad weather.

The JD’s have been extremely happy with the smoothness of the complete process, plus the response time on the few follow-up issues that needed to be solved after they took possession and moved into the home. He is what the JD’s have to say:

“We love our home… the whole experience has been a real pleasure.”

ABOUT THE "C's"
Mr. "C" is an inspector by trade, and a good one. Like all really good inspectors, he did a lot of research before making up his mind. In making the decision, Mr. "C" traveled extensively to see his options. He decided on T&C Homes after a strong recommendation from Guerdon and visiting other dealerships, as well as T&C.

Mr. "C" wanted a home that would be a fit on his 50 acres just north of Evanston, Wyoming. One of his prerequisites was lots of windows so he could see the great views that surrounded his home. Mr. "C" initially thought one of the cabin series was going to be his selection, but after careful consideration decided that the B4060A-02 was the best home for his needs.

ABOUT THE HOME
Mr. "C's" home was different more for additions after the home was delivered than for modification/customization work that happened at the factory. After the home was set, Mr. "C" added a full length front porch, large garage, mudroom, and combination gun room/home office. All together it makes up quite an impressive "compound."

WHAT MR. "C" LIKED
"How they (Guerdon Homes) were built, as well as the number and quality of floor plans."

ABOUT THE "D's"
The "D's" are both truck drivers and found us on the internet when they were out on the road. After the first visit to our model center they decided that Guerdon Homes was the best they had seen and that the T&C Homes philosophy was exactly what they were looking for.

ABOUT THE HOME
The "D's" decided on the B4060-02 with prismatic windows in the front. We installed a unique fireplace, 18" off the floor, and then finished off with local rock by Mr. "D." We then closed off the living room with a 3/4 wall and installed an entry arch.

The financing was very normal up to a point. We introduced them to the lender and then worked with the "D's" throughout the process to completion of the loan package. Now becomes the abnormal part. The "D's" were out "on the road" and could not be back for the scheduled closing, so the loan officer took all the paperwork home and had the "D's" stop by, still in the truck, on Saturday so they could complete the package on schedule.

The home was completely set on the foundation and fastened together in 2.5 hours, a new record for T&C Homes. Everything went together very smoothly and efficiently and everyone was extremely pleased with the end product.

WHAT THE "D's" SAY
Mrs. "D": "My home is absolutely gorgeous!"

The "M's, B2859A--01

ABOUT THE "M's"
The "M's are local residents who kept driving past our sales center until one day they had a need and decided to stop and look at our Guerdon Homes. Like many of our customers, the "M's" had never built a home before. They had been looking at property and site builders, but after seeing our homes, fell in love with the total package we offered (hight quality homes, complete turnkey installation, after-sales service, and complete product warranties) versus site building a home "from scratch."

Then a funny thing happened. At this point in the decision cycle the real estate agent/developer, seeing he was losing the sale, made the comment, "You deserve better," whereupon Mrs. "M" looked carefully at both options and decided she was getting "better" with the Guerdon home from T&C Homes.

ABOUT THE HOME
The "M's" bought one of our sales center and model homes, the B2859A-01 with a half porch and 6:12 pitch roof. We put the home on a full basement foundation with I-beams every 8 feet, thus giving a completely free flow with no obstructions throughout the entire basement area. We modified the 3rd bedroom into a stairway and storage room to give access from the inside of the hallway next to the master bedroom. We completed the project by bricking the lower half of the front of the home and adding a large 2-car garage to the rear (Mr. "M's" 1957 T-Bird needed a home.)

WHAT THE "M's SAY
Mrs. "M": "I would have never been able to build a home . . . too much stress . . . but this, I could do. It's wonderful."

L.D., B2859-03

ABOUT THE PROJECT
L.D. came to T & C Homes through seeing an ad in the newspaper. She decided on both a Guerdon Home as well as T&C Homes as her dealer because she believed that both were "put together" better than the competition. In addition, L.D. felt that she received more credible and better answers from T & C Homes than anyone else. L.D.'s objective was to get out of the city onto a piece of property in a more rural area where she could have animals (horses, goats, etc). After finding the right lot, she turned to T&C Homes to design/provide the home that would best fit her needs on the 2 acres she had decided upon. The home she selected was the B2859-03. It featured a full front porch option that maximized the view. Other modifications included wood flooring through the entire home as well as a custom vanity in the master bathroom. She also added a detached garage. The whole complex was set 40 feet back from the road with the porch looking out over the valley below.

What L.D. says:
Shelli did everything possible to make the purchase go smoothly. The weather she could not control (and I'll never understand why) and that pushed the setup back a couple of weeks. I think that time was a constraint in my case, and Shelli helped with keeping the process moving as much as possible.

S.D., B4060-02 Customer Support (5 stars)

About the Project
S.D. is located over 300 miles from Tremonton and T&C Homes' retail location. She found us via the internet. After receiving a great first impression, that she will tell you has lasted to this day, she decided that we were her best chance to successfully get the home of her dreams. Almost the total design and purchase process in this project was done via email and phone. S.D. was very impressed with how professional and informative T&C was to work with in this manner and how easy they made the whole process. The home was ordered, delivered and installed with only one personal visit to T&C Homes by S.D. and only one visit to the home site by Shelli, her T&C Homes salesperson. S.D.'s home is a B4060-01 with the normal amount of personal modifications. S.D. picked out her dream house and strongly feels, through the efforts of T&C and quality of Guerdon Homes, that she is now living in it.

What S.D. says:
I was very impressed with how nice/un-trailer looking the home was. Shelli knew everything about the home and setup process. The setup crew was very helpful and supportive. I felt like there was someone there to help us during the entire process.

K. & L. K., B2859-01

About the Project
K. & L. K. saw the Guerdon home that T&C Homes displayed at the 2001 Box Elder County Fair. They were impressed by the quality of the home and really liked the floor plan and exterior finish of the home. K. & L. K. decided that the "fair home" was what they wanted, except they wanted a full basement, a larger master bedroom, and several other smaller-in-scope modifications. To accomplish their goals, T&C Homes created a stairwell in place of bedroom #3. The remaining space not used for the stairwell was added to the master bedroom and walk-in closet. All changes (moving of walls, etc) were done when the home was constructed at the factory, and the home was delivered ready to install on their new basement foundation. Due to the full basement, K. & L. K. now have over 3000 sq. ft. of home with multiple bedrooms and separate family and living rooms for less than $40 a sq. ft. (K. & L. K. will have done much of the work to finish the basement themselves).

What K. & L. K. say:
We were concerned about having it looked upon as a trailer rather than a home. Most people do not know that it wasn't a stick built home and that is impressive.

S.M., A2856-01

About the Project:
When S.M. needed a new home she received a recommendation to go see T&C Homes from a friend in the construction business. After seeing the Guerdon homes and researching T&C Homes, S.M. decided on Guerdon because of the quality and T&C Homes because of the "look" of the homes as well as the reputation for after-sales service and support. The home was easy. It is a smaller home that really went without a hitch. The financing was not. It took an unbelievable amount of time and effort to make a home happen for S.M. But T&C Homes just kept chipping away at the financing opportunity until it finally happened.

What S.M. says:
I chose a Guerdon Home from T&C Homes because of the service and the look of the homes. Shelli and T&C stuck by me through the hole (sic) thing even after the loan was closed. You were there to help me with my bank & any questions I had you answered. You did everything in your power to get us into our home ASAP.

R.G, A2840-01

About the Project
R.G. was referred by one of the local financial lenders. He owned his land outright (this makes a big difference to lenders, sometimes in rate but always in credit worthiness) and wanted a small home that would be very comfortable for two people for a few years. He then plans to sell the home and purchase a larger one that will accommodate his growing family. R.G. particularly was pleased that T&C Homes was able to help him through the financing of the home in such a way that he would not have to get a construction loan, but could do it all with a one-time close loan, thus eliminating the additional expenses. The order process, delivery and installation went smoothly and was every uneventful.

What R.G. Says:
I chose a Guerdon home from T&C Homes because of the quality of the homes compared to other places I looked.

The T's

The T's found us on our web site. They live in Wyoming and did most of the ordering process over the internet and on the phone. We installed a Guerdon Modular 2R-3060 in record time in order to accommodate the fact that a baby was due and the home needed to be completed before the birth took place.

The home was going into a new subdivision with very strict CC&R's (rules). The Guerdon Modular home passed all the requirements with flying colors. The home has an 8:12 roof pitch, 9 foot flat ceilings, extra large windows, and included a 2-car garage that we completed on site after the home was delivered and installed. The T's and their children (newest included) love their new home. Mr. T, after looking at all the other homes being built/installed in their new subdivision, wonders why the other owners didn't buy a Guerdon Modular.

W.R. - A-3271A with a 4 foot stretch

The W. R.'s had seen a Guerdon home 3 or 4 years prior to when they went shopping for a home. They liked the quality and affordability compared to a site built home. Moving into retirement they made the decision to purchase 105 acres and go into the wool production business. The "ranch" did not come with a house, so the search for a home was on. They remembered the Guerdon, but also wanting to know what was available, they went shopping. After seeing "all there was" on the market plus several Guerdon dealers, they decided Guerdon was head and shoulders above all other options and that T&C Homes was the Guerdon dealer they could put their trust in to "do the job."

The home was ordered, A-3271A (4bdr/2bath, family room) with a 4 ft stretch that went into the living room and master bedroom. The other modification that was implemented was the conversion of one of the bedrooms into a pantry, complete with installed shelving on all walls.

Good Example of installation time and move-in at its best - The home was delivered on a Tuesday and the W.R.'s accepted the keys and were ready to move in on the Thursday of the next week - the home being completely ready to move into.

Here is what the W.R.'s had to say: "We are as pleased as punch. We love, and thoroughly enjoy, our new home."

R&B.C's in S. California - B-4271A - 3 section home

Mrs. B.C. found us on our web site. She liked what she read. She liked the perceived quality of the homes. She liked the price/value compared to site building. The only thing she did not like was that she was in S. California and we were in Utah. After several discussions with Blaine Mauchley, T&C Homes manager, concerning the ramifications and logistics of how this long range purchase/installation would/could happen she made the decision to proceed. With the exception of one visit by Blaine to S. California during the ordering process and two visits during the set-up and turn over process, all commuication regarding the entire project were by phone, fax and e-mail. The order, delivery and set-up process went smoothly but slower than expected with the exception that the initial sheet rocker who performed the finishing touches, after the home was delivered, did an unacceptable job. His work had to be redone by one of our own local people. This caused move-in to be set back about two weeks.

The home is beautiful - Mrs. B.C. loves the home. All who have seen it love the home. Here is what she has to say: "This is a great floor plan. I love the look of the home and the quality of the Guerdon product. I really like my home."

J.M. in Colorado - E-3060A, Cabin

J.M. came to visit us via the internet. He and his wife lived in Arizona, but wanted to put a E-3060A Cabin on their property in Colorado, the four corners area. TheJ.M.'s had very specific requirements for their cabin, plus they wanted it built to UBC/IBC Code, and J.M.wanted to do the complete installation himself. T&C Homes had no problem meeting all his needs and were even able to add a few "wishes" in that he didn't expect (shipping home with unfinished logs so he could apply his own finish, etc).

The order was processed in the summer, built in the early fall, and delivered to his site on October 28th. J.M. supervised the installation and did much of the basic hook-ups and final finish work himself (obviously at considerable savings to him). Because of the early and continual winter in that part of Colorado, J.M. did not complete the installation and get moved into the home until mid-March of the next year. Now that they are in, J.M. has this to say about the home:

"The home is absolutely beautiful, just exactly what we wanted. The modifications and customizations all came out as expected, and in many cases, better than expected. Please stop in anytime you are in our part of Colorado and visit us so we can show you what a great home you have provided for us."
