SERIES - Building your cabin in I-Code makes all kinds of good sense. Many of our clients, when putting in a second home, have found that the appraisal needed to finance the home, if a HUD code home, was often not high enough because of limited comparables in the sparsely populated area the cabin was being installed into. This is not a problem when the home is modular (I-Code) because site-built cabins/homes can be used for comparables for appraisal purposes.
